My form does not add a subscriber, what's going on?
If the one thing this plugin should do for you does not work, that can be very frustrating! But we can find out what is wrong. Bear with us.
If your form does not add a subscriber to your MailPoet lists, the most likely cause is a required subscriber (Custom) field that is not added to the form.
MailPoet allows you to add custom fields to your subscribers to collect more information, like a date of birth. If a field like that is set to be a "Mandatory field," it can block your subscription if it is not added to your form.
Logging errors to find the cause
In order to find out why a subscription is not being recorded, you can turn on the logging for the plugin:
- Go to "Forms > Settings" and enable the "Logging" option
- Go to "Forms > Settings > Logging", enable "Enable logging and log all messages" for MailPoet for Gravity Forms and click "Save Settings".
- Fill out your form to record any errors.
- Refresh the "Logging" page and click "View log" under MailPoet for Gravity Forms.
- The error log should now contain a reason why the subscription could not be processed.
